Organic White Nectarines

Size

Nectarines are not a hybrid fruit, they are peaches that lack the gene for fuzz! Every so often a nectarine can be spotted growing naturally on one of our peach trees. Though they're peaches in disguise, nectarines are regarded commercially as different fruits and the lack of fuzz can make for a very different eating experience. As with peaches, nectarines can be white or yellow, cling-stone or freestone.

On average, they're slightly smaller and sweeter than their cousins and their lack of fuzz can make their skins appear more reddish. The nectarines deeper, sometimes almost purple coloration contributed to a mistaken belief that they are hybrids of peaches and plums. We grow two white-fleshed varieties (Jade & Emeraude) that are typically harvested from June through July.

    Long Distance Organic Fruit

I have been a customer in Florida for more than 10 years. Both the fruit and the service have consistently been excellent. I actually plan vacations so I won't miss some of my favorites. From cherries to Warren pears, it is a delicious way to enjoy the summer.

    Pretty disappointed

These Nectarines were the size of Plums. I was shocked when I opened the box. At best they were passable.

The best I have ever eaten

Grocery store fruits suffer severely by comparison. I frankly never knew any fruit could be so sweet, juicy and delectable. And that applies to the apricots, plums, peaches and nectarines I've gotten from Frog Hollow. It's expensive but for the short season it's worth it. I wish they had cheese to go with it. I am mostly home bound and yet I can have all this wonderful food right at my doorstep.

A few damaged fruits, but those that remained were heaven!

The nectarines that were in great shape were absolutely amazing, and even the bruised fruits were pretty darn good. Definitely worth the splurge.
